About Chicas en tecnologias
The gender gap in STEM persists across the world. The gap begins in education fueled by gender stereotypes and continues throughout the career.
Chicas en Tecnología is committed to closing the gender gap in tech in Argentina and the region of Latin America and Caribbean.
In Argentina, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) enrollments are made up of only 33% women, and in degrees linked to programming, this number drops to 16%.
Chicas en Tecnología is a community of entrepreneurs committed to inspire and mentor the next generation of girl leaders in tech. They provide free resources and programs to help girls and young women to become not just users but also creators of technology with social impact.
